All start times are listed on the schedule and drivers are asked to be online ready to
race at that time. (7:15 EST)
1.2
Xbox 360 headsets are required to race in all league events. No exceptions can be
made to this rule as it is important for on track communication.
1.3
Drivers are encouraged to call their passes prior to making them. Failure to do so
may result in an incident. If you don't call line and it causes a incident you can
be penalized these steps:

2: Black Flag - Green Flag Drive Thru
1.4
“Daddy day care rule” All drivers are held responsible for their own voice
communications. i.e. someone other than the driver using the mic or excessive
background noise. Any infraction may result in penalty - see penalties section for full
details.
1.5
Provisionals:
Each driver will be given three provisionals per season in which it needs to be filed at least 24 hours prior to race start time. You will receive last place points. Anything after three you will receive no points and/or be booted from the league depending upon the circumstances.
1.6
Event times are subject to change up to 48 hours before an event. All times are
Eastern Time on the website.
1.7
Races not started/finished for uncontrollable circumstances will be rescheduled for a
later date.
1.8
In every league race there will an iCAR official and backup official present.
Officials are: (undecided)
The head official maintains full authority unless an incident or lag out with the official
occurs, in which the backup would make the call.
1.9
Drivers are asked but not forced to keep their gamertags that they sign up with. If
you are planning on changing your gamertag please let the head official know.
1.10
Discrimination is strongly prohibited at anytime by anyone. A loss of points,
suspension, or other infractions may occur do to name calling, racism, put downs, or
other things that may offend a person. Penalties:
1: Warning
2: Black Flag (Start at Rear if YELLOW, Drive Thru if GREEN)
3: Points lost (-3 each time)
1.11
All penalties listed in the penalties and suspensions section are minimum
punishments and are subject to greater actions at the desecration of the league
administrator.
1.12
In the case of an entire disconnection with all drivers lagging out, the room will be
restarted and resumed from the current lap and drivers will start from the position they
were in prior to the lag (includes green-white-checkered periods). In certain
circumstances drivers will be permitted to pit before resuming on the current lap.
1.13
Protests:
In the case of a protest drivers are permitted to fill out the Protest
section on the league website.
1.14
In the case of severe weather affecting the connection of a race a rain delay may
occur. A rain delay can take place for up to 30 minutes in which time all cars will wait in
the lobby (no practice is permitted during this time). If connection becomes an issue
after the 50% point the race can be deemed official.
Section B - Qualifying Procedure
2.1
If a driver can not connect to the host after 2 attempts for heats they will be given a last
place starting position. If a driver does not connect to lobby by 7:25pm EST or lags out under loading, they will start in the back and given credit for showing.
2.2
If a driver arrives to the heats after it has already started they will be considered the last
place qualifier after the rule of 2.1.
2.3 The top 2 from each heat qualify for the a-main, the next 2 will head to the B-main, and the rest will possibly go home depending on lobby sizes.
If there are more than 14 drivers, we will have a B-Main to determine the last 5 drivers to transfer to the A-Main.

Section C -
Race Procedure
3.1
If a driver can not connect to the race lobby after 2 attempts they will be given last
place points for showing up.
3.2
If a driver disconnects during the race, they will be brought back in up until the we have been racing for 30 minutes.
mark - there will only be 2 room restarts total. If you disconnect, you must message the
head official for an invite.
3.3
The Heats and races will start in the random order it puts us in.
3.4
The race remains under green flag conditions until a caution is approved by the
official. See Section E - caution procedures for full caution details.
3.5
All flags, penalties, and other calls are to be made by the race official only.
3.6
Drivers are to race on the race surface only. Passing below the double yellow line or
anywhere else that is deemed illegal will result in a penalty if there is an advantage
gained by doing this. See penalties section for full details.
3.7
A lapped car is expected to give way to the lead lap cars passing. A lapped car is
permitted to race for their spot on the lead lap but once a lap down they must give way
to the lead lap cars.
3.8
A caution flag can only be called for one or more of the following reasons:
- debris on the track (barrels, lids, etc)
- multi car collision resulting in excessive loss of speed
- a lag out before 30 minutes complete
- on track lag by a driver (Does include a “3 step”)
- one car spin causing an excessive loss of speed with others.
3.9
The winner is determined by the first driver to the finish line.
Section D -
Caution Periods
4.1
The race remains under green flag conditions until a caution is approved by the
official. See Section E - caution procedures for full caution details.
4.2
There is to be no contact of any sort during the entire caution period.
4.3
Upon hearing a caution flag is called drivers are to hold position and slow to a pace
speed and remain at that speed until the race resumes with the green flag.
4.4
The pits are opened for lead lap cars when all drivers are caught up and the race
official declares the pits open. The next time past the pits it is open for all cars.
4.5
The “lucky dog” is the first car one or more laps down. This driver will be permitted
to get one lap back before pit stops. This driver is permitted to pit after he gets his lap
back as we will wait for him/her as we go green.
4.6
A car is eligible for the wave around when all the cars in front of him pit and he stays
out. If one or more lead lap cars stay out, nobody gets the wave around.
4.7
When all cars are caught back up the “lucky dog” will take his lap back
by passing the field on the outside and pitting. At this time the wave around cars will also
drive around and will start behind the “lucky dog”.
4.8
All drivers involved in a crash (at fault or not) will be put into the rear of the field prior
to opening the pits. Also not available for the "Lucky Dog"
4.9
The leader under caution must maintain the same speed for the duration of the
caution. There is to be no slowing down waiting for drivers, or speeding up just before
the restart. If there is an advantage gained by doing this it will result in penalty.
1: Warning (Unless occured on a GWC to get advantage, then it will go to #2)
2: Black Flag (Under YELLOW, Start at back, GREEN=Drive Thru THAT LAP)
3: -1 point each time
Section E -
Restart Procedure
5.1
Coming to a restart all drivers are to double up when the race official says to.
Drivers are to maintain speed and minimum of 2 car lengths between rows (nose to tail).
5.2
A jump start will result in a penalty if an advantage is gained. See penalties section
for full details. If the leader does not reach the RESTART line first the spot must be given
back to them. If the jump start car does not yield back the position they will be subject to a drive
through penalty.
5.3
The leader may restart the race by going in the designated restart zone. The leader
is to go whenever they wish to within the correct restart zone. It is the leaders
responsibility to gradually increase speed coming to the restart to avoid a stack up.
5.4
Drivers are NOT permitted to change lanes before the start/finish line. This will result in
an automatic drive through penalty and -then a 1 point if needed each time.
5.5
Drivers jumping the restart and making it three wide will be given an immediate drive
through penalty. Drivers that jump a restart and are less then 2 car lengths once
crossing the RESTART LINE will be given one warning. You can pass if needed but you
need to call lines & if causes wreck, Black Flag. If a driver is found jumping a second restart
they will be subject to a drive through penalty and -1 point.
Section F -
Green-White-Checkered Procedure
6.1
There will be a maximum of 3 green-white-checkered attempts to finish the race. If a
caution comes out during the final green-white-checkered the race will be deemed
official and all cars are to maintain position as under a normal caution. The race may be
left to finish under green if the wreck does not effect the outcome of the finish for the
leaders.
6.3
The pitting procedure will be normal during a green-white-checkered period.
Section G -
The Chase for the iCAR Cup
7.1
During the season all drivers will race together, and accumulate points in the same
standings racing for the championship. All points standings and wins are put into one.
7.2
Section H -
Penalties and Suspensions
8.1
All penalties are a minimum and are subject to change based on the severity of the
situation.
8.2
On the track there is to be respectful driving. Aggressive driving or retaliation is a
punishable offense. Aggressive driving may consist of: dive bombing, passing below the
yellow line, multiple incidents, punting, break checking, excessive blocking, etc. A first
offense to this may be a warning.
2: Black Flag (YELLOW start back, GREEN)
3: -2 point each time
8.3
Talking during important moments for nothing important - warning, if the driver continues a drive thru penalty will be assessed.
8.4
The “Daddy day care” rule - first result in a warning followed by a drive through
penalty under green flag conditions. If the offense happens a third time the car will be
parked and removed for race.
8.5
Racing surface infractions - first is a warning (discretion of race official). Second
offense if under green flag is a drive through penalty, or if under caution starts at the tail
end of the longest line. Third offense is a mandatory green flag drive through penalty. Fourth time,
-2 pts each time.
8.6
Commitment cone rule violation - automatic black flag resulting in the driver going to
the tail end of the longest line. If under green and seen or you admit, then a drive through
and +1 point if being honest about hitting cone.
8.7
Pit road violation - pitting while pits are closed is an automatic black flag as you will start in the back or Driver Thru
8.8
Restart infraction - first infraction results in restart and warning, second infraction
driver goes to tail end of the longest line, followed by a green flag drive through penalty
on the third infraction and a -1 point each time.
8.9
The in race official has the authority to give out a penalty for reasons listed or not in
the rule book. If the race official can not cite the rule for the penalty, a driver has the
right to refuse it and continue racing. However if it is determined that the driver indeed
was deserving of the penalty there can be a maximum penalty of a total points loss for
the infracting race.
